In 2022, I completed the Google UX Design Professional Certificate—a rigorous, hands-on program that deepened my understanding of the end-to-end design process. While I already had experience leading cross-functional design initiatives, this course gave me the opportunity to roll up my sleeves and refine my craft in tools like Figma and Adobe XD, while also gaining deeper insight into Google’s development methodologies.
For my capstone, I created Good Like Guac—a socially driven app designed to promote community impact through accessible, user-centered design. Taking this project from concept to prototype as a solo designer not only sharpened my technical skills, but also renewed my appreciation for collaboration and the iterative process.
Although I’ve led teams through complex design challenges, this immersive experience reminded me of the importance of staying close to the work. It reignited my curiosity and strengthened my commitment to building meaningful, human-centered solutions.
